This workshop provides a focused, hands-on approach to present useful techniques on how to maximize ultrasound to visualize soft tissue anatomy of the shoulder. The workshop focuses on the 13 Point Shoulder Ultrasound Exam and provides tips for patient positioning, ultrasound settings, guided injections, and suprascapular nerve blocks. Latest equipment and live models are used. Appropriate for all skill levels. Two sessions offered, limited to 24 registrants per session

Recommended for participation: Submit 6 Power Point image/ video slides to SDSI prior to course. Include brief patient history, treatment, patient outcome, and questions for panel. Ensure no patient identifiable information or company trade names are presented in slides. Submissions will be reviewed prior to presentation and are limited to 15 minutes per case.

 

Physical Therapy Rehab Session

This session is designed specifically for Physical Therapists. Join our expert faculty in a dynamic lecture session addressing patient examination techniques, evidence and science of rotator cuff and instability rehabilitation, total shoulder replacement, and impingement syndrome. Witness a live patient examination and evaluation followed by development of an appropriate plan of care. Then move on to an in- depth, expanded session reviewing the functional assessment of the shoulder patient, and discussion of specific rehabilitation techniques for the shoulder in a small group setting.

Held in conjunction with the Annual San Diego Shoulder Institute lecture series, Physical Therapists and those interested in shoulder rehabilitation can register for this individual session taking place Friday, June 14, 2013, beginning at 8 a.m. The cost for attending just the Physical Therapy Rehab Session is $100.00.
